Pont-y-Pant Hotel

Pont-y-Pant Hotel stood on the opposite side of the road from Penaeldroch (Plas Hall). What little remains of the hotel is now garden features in the garden of Ty Llwyd, the white house above the site (built with the stone from the hotel). The barns still remain though much changed.

The hotel was demolished some time within the first decade of the twentieth century (having laid empty for a few years) due to the owners bankruptcy, which was blamed partly on the Sunday closing laws, and the ending of Sunday running of trains.
